My Handsome Men!

We have been attempting off an on potty training for some time now. A couple of weeks ago a friend of ours let us borrow her son's potty chair so that I would have more than one, and did not have to worry about it being in the right bathroom before I went (Hazel usually wants to sit on the potty when mommy does). I had slid it out of our half bath that morning to mop and she started pulling at her pants like she wanted to potty! So I set her on it and gave her a book. I swear she was there for like 10 minutes! Never did anything but these shots were just too cute! She's gonna have to bribe me really hard not to show these when she's older! LOL

We had a visitor last week

So one afternoon last week the kids and I went out back to play for a little while before going to the Y. Jakob looked across the yard and said, "Hey mommy a bird came to see us!" It took me a second to realize that it was a hawk but once I did I immediately knew what he was doing! Jakob wanted to go and see if he could pet it but I tried to explain to him that this bird was a very strong bird and had a bad attitude. He then told me, "No its not a bad attitude bird, look its nice it's cleaning its feathers!" I let him take some pictures but that was about it. Once the camera flashed the bird started getting antsy and hopped on the fence and then flew away. The last picture is Jakob's that he took to prove to me that the bird was not eating anything but cleaning its feathers, good thing it didn't pay attention to the lump it held in its claws!

A Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

Sunday we took advantage of the last free weekend at Pinecrest Botanical Gardens. It was a nice CHEAP outing as a family before Mike had to go back to work on Monday.
The entire place was beautiful! It was nice and cool and clean and oh! You felt like you could breath so much better! Here are just some of the shots I took. As I find them all, I will post more! God has truly given us a beautiful world!

Box 'em up and ship 'em out!!

Most of you know my children's facination with boxes. For years Jakob would rather climb into the boxes than play with the toys he got for Christmas or Birthdays. I have so many pictures of him trying to fit into boxes that were WAY too small and grinning like he was in heaven! I guess Hazel inhereted the same trait. Sunday after church, she found an empty diaper box that we had and climbed on in! Jakob then played "choo choo" with her pushing her around the house like the Queen of Sheeba! Ah to be that easily entertained!
